Worst trauma getting older?

For me it was probably the constant beatings from my dad for no apparent reason. My dad always drank a lot when his mom died, and he would come upstairs and go ballistic on me. I remember my mom screaming and trying to pull him off me while i’m getting beaten to a pulp I was around 8. He still lives with us and their not divorced he manipulates my mom into not getting one. My mom told me around a week ago that it’s my fault he’s this way and he was so kind before me, and i was a mistake that should of never been born etc.
