Worth losing weight if I can’t workout?

I used to workout but got a herniated disc and surgery got postponed from corona.

I’m 16-17% bf. Have some gains but can only workout body weight.

Is it worth trying to lose weight or will I lose too much muscle since I can only do some really easy bodyweight shit?

Eat at maintenance then slight surplus. Heavy bulking is a meme. Stay same body fat or slightly higher over a long period of time while working out
