Is it worth me getting a rhino bfore bimax, I’m going to uni so this Jew nose needs to go. I’ve accepted I won’t be able to afford bimax til after uni, over by that point anyway, and I can afford rhino this summer, is it worth just getting rhino and accepting bimax before rhino will simply be too late

It sounds like you're considering rhinoplasty (nose job) before undergoing bimaxillary osteotomy (bimax), likely for orthognathic surgery to correct jaw alignment. It's understandable that you're concerned about the appearance of your nose, especially if it's impacting your confidence. Here are a few things to consider:

Timing: If you're certain that you won't be able to afford bimax until after uni, and you're bothered by your nose now, getting rhinoplasty might provide some immediate relief in terms of self-confidence.
Effects: Rhinoplasty can improve the appearance of your nose, but it won't address any underlying jaw alignment issues. Bimax is typically done for functional reasons (improving bite, chewing, breathing) as well as aesthetic ones. So, while rhinoplasty can make your nose more aesthetically pleasing, it won't correct any functional problems related to your jaw alignment.
Long-term plan: Consider your long-term goals and the overall look you want to achieve. While rhinoplasty can provide immediate results, bimax might be necessary for achieving the overall facial harmony you desire.
Consultation: It's crucial to consult with both a rhinoplasty specialist and an oral surgeon who specializes in orthognathic surgery. They can evaluate your specific concerns and provide personalized recommendations based on your unique facial anatomy and goals.
Cost: Consider the financial aspect carefully. If you can afford rhinoplasty now and believe it will improve your quality of life, it may be worth it. However, be sure to plan and budget for bimax in the future if it's still necessary.
Ultimately, the decision is yours and should be based on your priorities, goals, and financial situation. Be sure to thoroughly research and consult with qualified medical professionals before making any decisions.

Thank you for your response, I wouldn’t mind waiting but uk wages are quite shit and bimax is 20k, it’s not possible to gain this amount of finance as a teenager over a 3 month summer. I was considering using a student loan for bimax but that’s not going to be enough as the max is 9k yearly and I likely won’t qualify for that.

no, bimax first
Wouldn’t it be too late at that point bro, think about it uni is finished and I’d be working, I wouldn’t even be able to benefit from it properly while I’d be rotting for 3+ years in uni

i’ve seen some bimax cases have their nose changed after the procedure, without rhino or anything, so i’d do bimax first and then rhino

Bimax first the nose can be affected by the movement of the jaws
