Would dental implants give the jaw width that I had?

I had 2 of my lower premolars extracted and my those extraction spaces are now closed. If I reopen them and put dental implants (which I plan on doing as soon as possible) will that give me back the width that I had? I'm still not sure If my face got more narrow due to the extractions but my mandible did recede a decent amount and I'll try to fix that aswell somehow
