I think you'd find if you were average looking and/or of ethnic/asian origin, you would begin to care, as suddenly you might not be AS rewarded for good personality traits you'd display. Good looking white men definitely get rewarded for showing positive internal qualities

nah, I looked very average imo before I discovered this forum and I have to say it helped quite a bit to look better, you have better first impression, you have more possibilites in dating because you have more matches and so on, but it really suddenly doesn't change who you are internally, that means for example on a date, if you don't behave normally, say bullshit, dont know what to say, you have more room to be like this because of good looks, but in the end she still realizes that after a while and it's over nevertheless, just a bit later

so looks matter a lot, but if you are autistic it's really an uphill battle for you, also if you are hyper-NT and don't look that good, your NTness can compensate very well, I see it everyday in real life
