Would metformin be bad ?

My dad has diabetes so i pretty much have inhereted his condition, not entirely, but i was born insulin resistant and since 10 ive been using metformin, stopped for a while when i lost weight cuz it actually stabelized my insulin sensibility but idk if it is bad for me or my growth idk, im in puberty, 15 and 3 months.

technically it’s catabolic I belive so it’s prolly not optimal
