Would MSE be helpful or not

Ortho recommended MSE + braces couple months back, not sure if it’d help me given that my zygos are already wider than my mandible bc it’s somewhat narrow. Dont think I would do it for functional reasons strictly, especially if it might mess up ratios or symmetry.

Go for that lower jaw also gets wider with the upper jaw dw

You would look better with a wider midface. But your IPD and nose is a bit wide and marpe will exaggerate it a bit.

Do you have apnea? Breathing difficulties (probably not with the jewish nose)? TMJ? Posture is shit?

I don’t think I have breathing difficulties (is my nose that bad least it’s straight). Minor tmj, fine posture.

I don’t think I have breathing difficulties (is my nose that bad least it’s straight). Minor tmj, fine posture.

You should be chill. But objectively your palate is narrow and it's high vaulted which would warrant expansion.. IF.. you had any of those symptoms.

Yeah I agree maybe minor functional benefits. Do you think it would get me to lhtn with the better infraorbital support and wider midface. Pretty sure the alar base expansion is negligible aesthetically and I don’t know how IPD is impacted. Main downsides are the asymmetric expansion some people get or canted smiles, and in my case a very narrow looking jaw because of masseter atrophy and being perceived smaller.

Don't worry about the canted smile it can be fixed orthodontically if it happens. You can just train massetars again too. Your IPD will widen a bit and same for the nose, but I think the cheekbone/midface width you'd get would balance it.
