Would narrowing wide nose make midface longer?

I could search for pics addressing this issue, but you get the point,

basically, a nose too wide is not ideal in Males, however it could at least give the illusion of a shorter midface, by adding width to midface ?

Maybe even giving the illusion of wider IPD ?

Yes, especially if you have a drooping tip.

In a rhinoplasty, often the depressor septi nasi muscle is cut, and the nasal tip skin is remoulded - which results in a permanently neutral or up-tilted nose; which can add length to the mid-face.
