It's only good to do in a few countries (Egypyt, Maldives, Australia and some others) and It's VERY expensive and you need qualifications to be able to go a decent depth.

Sure you could do it in some shitty, cold lake but it will be shit

People do it here but the water can be cold and muddy. Yeah, many divers travel to Thailand, etc to dive. Wasn't there a case where Elon Musk called a western scuba diver pedophile because he was in Thailand?

Yeah probs not worth it then unless you are super passionate. Scuba diving is only fun when you get to see cool shit. You only see good shit in a few countries.

An open water diver diving course in Thailand would cost €399. Not too bad. There's even a cheaper course that is just €281 - I guess you don't learn as much as on the pricier course. Anyway, many looksmaxes cost way more. But these are just courses that teach you how to dive, and you get to dive a couple of times; not sure how much diving regularly would cost.

yeah but that prolly just a beginner course. You actually need more qualifications to go deeper than 10 meter.
