Would someone who’s 160IQ learn a subject in 2000 hours compared to someone with 100IQ learning the same subject in 3200?

Is this how linear IQ = learning works?
I can’t imagine an average IQ person being as advanced in something like chess, mathematucs, computer science after 3200 hours compared to their high iq counterparts.

how do you manage to make shit threads like this everytime

higher IQ means you can understand things others cant and its as simple as that

no amount of training or practice will ever make an 80 IQ person understand what a 160 IQ person can understand

I doubt this. If someone with 160IQ spent 100 hours on a subject, how much time would someone at an 80IQ have to spend to be equal in terms of knowledge? Or is this not how it works.

IQ is indeed correlated with processing information faster, more efficiently, so, yeah, generally speaking, a higher IQ person would be expected to learn things faster and better than an average IQ person

Yeah but to what extent.

I dunno that. I'm not even sure that it's fully quantifiable as of today's knowledge in psychometrics. What I do know is that g factor is what drives IQ scores (g factor basically means that you will tend to do generally well across most domains of cognition in psychometrics), which means that higher IQ = more versatile/adaptable cognition style = faster thinking and processing of information across the board

But after a certain point, we venture into the genius tier IQ range, and at that point IQs tend to be very specialised (either into quant or verbal types of thinking, for instance) i.e think mozart vs einstein; this would basically mean that these levels of IQ lead to tremendously good learning and processing of info within the person's range of interest, with the other interests being at variable levels

A high Iq is necessary to find new truths. I'm at a point where I know most things humans have understood and come up with. You can only study what others have already figured out. If you want to find solutions to unsolved problems, you need to be high iq, there is no way around it

You don’t need to be high iq to discover new shit.
Did elon musk pioneer his rocket all by himself? No, he hired people who are smarter then him to do all the handywork for him.
It is just an example. I’m not saying go make a rocket.

Retarded argument. What did elon musk discover or figure out? Does the world have any more knowledge than it used to have without him?

The ability to think logically is intrinsically linked to IQ

It became very apparent to me in the first proofs based math course I took (linear algebra). Many people just ended up not being able to write rigorous proofs, no matter how many examples and problems they work through.

Over for Elon Cuck

Elon Musk is an easily replaceable person. And he was smart anyways. Attaining a physics degree from UPenn automatically puts you atleast above 125

Cope. If you use things like attentive recall, study efficiently and keep your sleep/diet under control, I’m sure you can get in with an IQ of 100.

>Active recall for mathematical subjects. Just memorize all your integrations and derivations brooo

You've clearly never taken an upper level math/physics course so stop acting like you understand what it's about.

being high IQ doesn't mean you need to actually discover or invent things for you to be validated as a high IQ, most people who are in the 1% of intelligence don't invent or discover new things in their lifetimes, this is the fallacy that extreme intelligence can only be found in science or invention when throughout history extreme intelligence has been manifested through other things like leadership politics and military matters, which are fields that you need others to succeed.

Alexander the great wouldn't have been able to conquer the whole known world without inheriting his father's army and without having good generals, Augustus wouldn't have been able to subjugate Egypt without Cesar adopting him and without his most trusted general Agrippa, does delegating make you less intelligent? I personally don't think so, knowing who to choose to help correctly is a great sign of intelligence, and seeing Elon Musk's track, record where others have greatly failed he has greatly succeeded so I wouldn't underestimate his intelligence.

we can hate Elon musk all we want but if through his company we get to mars he will be solidified as one of the most important persons in human history, you cannot undermine how much he has revived the space spirit that died in the 70s

Depends on the subject. If the subject is gaming related it matters more if the game and genre is newer. If it's a school type thing the person with 160 can do well without trying and without studying. If it's a problem that requires iq to solve by default then the person with lower iq wont catch up. In most subjects with equal effort there would be a bigger divide than just 2000 vs 3200 though.
