Would the world be a better place with or without religion?

I said weak Hadith for the other shit about period blood.

And the Hadith being narrated by a guy with memory problems also makes it ineligible to be sahih (alomg with it going against the Quran)

Being “revisionist” ≠ non Muslim, and even if he married a 9 year old this doesnt have any effect on Islam since it teaches against it, Youre a Christian why dont u worry about Mary being prepubescent when impregnated by the Holy Spirit?
Why do you follow a false prophet?

I have read the old testament and the whole bible cover to cover. Trust me, leviticius is brutal, however that doesnt mean modern christians view those actions as not sin. Anything Jesus did i would defend. No modern mainstream christian doctrine thinks King Soloman was sinless or did no wrong. But Muhammad under islam IS believed to do no wrong
No people do believe the orders GOD gave MOSES are SINLESS

As GOD cannot do wrong.

And you believe Jesus is god, meaning HE was the one ordering Samuel and Moses what to do

New point: I think general issue with people turning to religion now, is that people have issues they feel they’re losing control over. They use religion as a gateway to fix it, but every single religion teaches you that you are responsible and should be aware of your own life.
Generally I also think that if you read thru religious books, scriptures etc you’ll realise they generally try to teach you the same things, living a peaceful and meaningful life but they share the message in different ways, they do also really custom to the cultures, some cultures are really peaceful and calm and they just need a simple message to understand, some cultures are highly emotional and need a strict message for things to get thru their head.

Buddhism isn’t about spreading peace and pacifism, it’s about having inner peace and control your emotions and mind. A lot of Buddhist don’t even called Buddhism a religion, rather a life style and way of having inner reflection.
yah i wouldnt call buddhism a religion either, but it is about peace and pacifism im pretty sure. Isnt a big part of buddhism non violence?

Lol she was 19 and she wasn't penetrated by an old man
“19” and still hasn’t had her first period???

It is, but what I meant is in a lot of religions eg Islam a big goal of their lives is spreading their message to the most people they can.
Buddhism is a humble religion where you sort of have to find the curiosity within yourself, a lot of religions also spoon feed you a way of life or a way you can/should find peace, but Buddhism is all about trying to finding it your self, they give teachings but it’s up to you to interpret them and take action yourself, which I find helps you get much deeper connection within yourself self and get a deeper connection with your consciousness.

Haha i like a lot of what buddhism has to say but i also dont love the diet and certain other worldly pleasures that u have to sacrifice. Just think it goes a bit too far but from what ive read on wikipedia some of its good

Diet part is generally impossible, back in like 2003 there was a Buddhist teacher at a restaurant and he ordered a rare steak, everyone around him was shook why he did that. He explained that in modern agriculture it’s impossible to eat plants without killing living things, the machines, transport it kills thousands of insects, small animals etc etc.
And with the sacrifice part of things, it’s more of a thing where you try to find yourself in a way where you don’t need it, you don’t need these materialistic things surrounding you.
Generally now especially in the west it’s practically impossible to do that because no matter what your surrounded by it, but if you chose to move to Bhutan it definitely becomes a thing of not sacrifice but building up courage and enlightening your self with the fact that at the end it really doesn’t matter what you have, it’s about the understanding and peace in your head.
Sort of sounds like a mad man religion to a lot of people, but if people took their time and opened their minds to something new a lot of them would enjoy their views.

“Everyone knows this brooo” - has no argument against ANY rebuttals

And if you’re gonna believe in historical accounts, you must also believe that Mary was impregnated by god at 9

Jfl at these double standards @yussimania
