Also be wary if this is RSUs or heavily vested equity. A lot of startups inflate total comp with paper money that only vests over several years. I've had offers like this that were too good to be true. If you don't stay long enough or the company doesn't do well you never see that money. Better to get guaranteed base

It's not uncommon for startups to aggressively pursue high value AI, infrastructure and Core software guys that they think will bring real value the only catch is they often come with a lot of terms and conditions like RSUs, equities, performance dependencies . I personally would take a MAANG company's offer like Google or Meta SDE 1 over these because it's a shot in the dark.
