Oh, you're right haha. I would suggest trying out contacts, taking pics, and make a poll asking "In which pic am I wearing contacts?" to see if it's obvious or not. One downside is that you look like you've been on here for quite some time, so people would already know what your true eye color is, or they could look up your post history to find out. Perhaps posting on Reddit might be better then.
