A half-Jordanian, half-Dutch person with brown hair, blue eyes and a typically European appearance with some exotic traits.

I fit this description and mix but the nationalities are different (Muslim Lebanese/British) and I never identify as white. When enrolling into university and work, I selected the "other mixed" category in the ethnicity drop down box. This is how ethnicity categories look like in the UK:

I don't think it's just about skin colour and features. There's more to it than that.

If almost or all of my ancestry were to be from Europe, sure. But that's not the case at all, since 59% of it is not.

Because they are nomadic, people referred to them as "Gypsies" incorrectly.

In Europe I'm not treated as white but in America legally speaking I would be, since MENAs are white there.

Then if I discover his cultural background I will consider him Middle Eastern...
That actually happened irl. An Algerian(full) guy looked white to me. I always thought he was French tbh. Later on I discovered he was Algerian.

My grandad is white passing but was jumped once by a bunch of English thugs for wearing a religious hat, the UK is kinda discriminatory in that respect( in America u can wear a Jewish hat freely without fear of getting hurt)

Jews here get discriminated a lot by both white Anglo and Pakistani thugs....

Also there are plenty of Jews in America (biggest diaspora in the world and the place with the most Jews worldwide) so he wouldn't feel out of place there.
