Dating slightly lower is better for a relationship. There's less chance that she'll leave and she'll be less bitchy towards you. You won't have to worry as much about her coworkers or whoever, because even if hotter guys are hitting on her she'll be more likely to assume that they only want to hook up, and that she won't be able to date them. If you date your looks max, she'll know she could be in a relationship with some one more attractive and be looking trade up.
