I know on paper it sounds like that but it was a long journey. Honestly I was in the same situation as you where my mom would get concerned about me not having friends in high school because I would just go to school and come back home telling her just my classes and nothing about my social life. I barely know anyone who I graduated with in my class because my freshman-sophomore year, I was silent until I got home.

I got pretty pissed because my mom was going to send me to a camp where I would learn to willingly talk to people and I didn’t want her to spend money on things that wouldn’t work. After camp, I found myself being able to do small talk instead of ramble on like I am right now. Long story short, I know how to get someone’s attention and make it last.

This thread literally covered everything I learned in camp aside from actually being put in the situations.
