Real power cannot be bought with money alone. 10 billion seems grand but they can print 10 billion in an hour if they want. You sacrificed your life for something the elite can make in an hour. And they would just kill you if you became a serious threat. You need people's loyalty that cannot be bought by money or some trump card that is disruptive.
