First or second time posting here. I have mandibular and maxillary hypoplasia, compensated class II, and I am brachycephalic... So recessed jaws with overbite and a wider face.
But my cranial base angle or saddle angle is under 124 degrees, which supposedly means good forward growth. I used the cephalogram that my jaw surgeon gave me to find out cranial base angle. I'm assuming I'll ascend with jaw surgery even though I'm brachy because of my lower cranial base angle, is that a correct assumption? I also thought lower cranial base angles meant being more prone to class 3 dental but I'm class 2.

But why is it that I have a "normal" cranial base angle if typically class 2 recessed upper and lower jaws usually means downward growth and a higher saddle (cranial angle) angle? My gonial angle is right at 125 degrees too. So I'm recessed but not downward grown, class 2 but with the cranial base angle of a class 3. I'm assuming that makes me a good candidate for djs, aesthetically speaking.

Sorry need to edit the measurements of the saddle angle(nsar), it's actually 121 degrees. My cranial base angle (nsba) is 123.7 degrees. I had the cranial base angle and saddle angle confused in my earlier post...
