My clean-cut appearance gives me a halo effect that makes broads think I'm trustworthy. Yet my halo effect doesn't translate over into romantic success

I still would prefer the 5-6. Because it's impossible for the 9-10 to want us the same way the 5-6 does. Even if we were lucky enough a 9-10 accepts our askout, she'll inevitably cheat on us (and leave us entirely eventually)

I have above-average looks. Yet not good enough for a 10 to be loyal with me. I wouldn't say looks are the most important thing though. Neurotypicality is.

5-6 is high enough on the scale for me to at least be attracted to her, yet low enough the cheating risk (and the risk of her leaving me) is minimized

Let's put it this way: For the purposes of the question, the 9-10 is basically what the 5-6 would be if the 5-6 became a 9-10.

In other words, pretty much the same on the inside, yet (to address the ego thing) obviously one big difference is that the 9-10 has the knowledge of being aware she could easily get just about any man on earth
