lets say you trained then served with a team of marines for 5 years and you have grown very close to all of them, you go on a mission to go kill a warlord but when you get there you find out the intelligence was faulty and in reality the warlord is just some kid, the village is full of innocent woman and children and no real threats. The boss giving orders back at base would have a huge blemish on his record from this mistake and needs to cover it up, so he tells you to level the entire village anyways. You and your best friend are the only members of the squad who want to refuse the orders, the rest are good soldiers and would never disobey a direct order. Do you give in and kill all the innocent women and children or do you slit the throats of all your squad members in their sleep? There is 13 members of your squad but there's 5,000 innocent women and children in the village.

I'm interested to know how would the "people" of org handle this situation

I dont see what that has to do with it, the village people are never gonna interact with you to even be able to betray you, your squadmates would just do whatever the boss says so I guess they could betray you.

well if you sold yourself to the military you would have to mesh with them, thats just how it is. "best friend" is also relative, its just your closest friend so they might not even be close at all I guess.

what? is it too easy? I wouldnt want to murder a bunch of innocent people just cause some loser in an office made a mistake. I also wouldnt want to kill my friends. seems like a hard enough question because they also had the chance to refuse the order but chose not to. was 5 years too long in service together maybe
