Would you rather work an Associate Job at Evercore (an Investment Banking Advisory Firm)
or
Would you work A Data Scientist Job at Meta Platforms (Facebook)?

Both have around $160K Base Pay + $100kish Bonus depending on the year, perfomance, etc.
Both have very good career trajectories, and levels of chances of promotion to very very senior management in both cases are equal. (they're very very slim)
Both are very mind-consuming, and u have to put in a lot of work.

Def Facebook, the offices of those tech companies are pretty sick and I’m sure tech attracts better (maybe not cooler) personalities than a high finance firm would

Just edited*
this poll reaction is crazy, literal opposite from how lookismers reacted when i posed the same question holy fuark.
majority of lookismers overwhelmingly chose neither, but if they had to pick one, it was Evercore

Individually, I would much rather work at an "Associate Job at Evercore" than at Facebook, primarily due to the seemingly unyielding potential and value the occupation has relative to other niches.

not really, Evercore is huge and its not a small firm where u will be in contact with Managing Directors everyday.
The Facebook job has equal amount of exposure, u got a lot of "yield" to pull as well.

evercore cuz I want to get into banking
