I am mainly talking about how the man perceives themselves in this thread, not just about the dating market.

Height has 0 room for subjectivity, it’s literally just a vertical measurement of your body.

There is no way a 5’5 man in a western country could cope themselves into thinking they are tall or even average height. We see time and time again that bellow average men facially do manage to cope themselves into thinking they look good (loads of videos people make when they are “feeling themselves”, self overrating and saying they “aren’t that bad”).

Pretty much everyone expresses the opinion that being short is not a manly quality very openly. Females, males and media in general all come together in agreement, being a short man is not a good thing. Because of this, short men are CONSTANTLY reminded of their stature, and how it is not ideal. This does not seem to be the general consensus for the face (even though the face is incredibly important and the normies who say it isn’t are incorrect). Most men seem to be told “beauty is for women” “being pretty doesn’t matter for a man, you got to be MaScUlInE bro”; obviously this is a pitiful cope, however it does mean that facially unattractive men have a good cope fail safe to fall back on, and aren’t explicitly told they are lacking ALL the time (even though they will face the consequences through how they are treated, just less open scrutiny).

Because everyone knows a tall height is dimorphic quality, especially short men, short men are made to feel lesser and almost childlike every day of their lives. The impact that haves on a grown man mentally is immense, a life of constant snarky remarks, passed off as ‘playful banter’ which is in reality blatant disrespect.

It is one thing to not have any dating prospects because you are facially unattractive, but to be constantly undermined, undervalued, disrespected and infantilised as a short man must be incredibly hard to deal with. Those things do happen to average height or even tall men that are lacking facially, however not to the extent of a Manlets experience.
