I'm wondering, would you see any point in improving yourself if it was never noticed by other humans? No being applauded, no one that would congratulate you, no one to live up to.

Personally, if i was for example the last human on earth, i would not care about self improvement at all, i'd probably just lie down and die.

For the first like 5 months it basically wasn't worth it.
But when people see a change and ask how or what you've done it changes everything about your life.

i would lose all the weight that i have to be more fit to explore the world

Yeah, and i believe looks and stuff linked to self improvement won't bring much happiness if it isn't appriciated by other people. It might depend on the person tho, i know some people that are very happy with improving themselves, despite it not having much returns social-wise. I never understood it myself though
