Wouldn't focusing on clearing the outer lateral orbital walls increase interpupillary distance? [O.D.S. - High IQ users GTFIH]

Here's the animation [Orbital Decompression Surgery]

Besides clearing orbital floors and backwalls to push the eyeballs back into the skull, wouldn't clearing mainly the external lateral walls:

Force the eyes to move further apart? Even by a mm or two.

Don’t know if it could work but probably way too dangerous to make this bone slimmer anyways

Neither do I, but imagine you need one or 2 mms for the optimal and the only alternative is fucking O.B.O.

This could go both ways. Focusing on inner walls to remove fat, etc to decrease it and the opposite to increase it. All that while mining the eye socket so that the eye globes get pushed back which is the point of O.D.

But focusing on lateral walls and thereby changing the IPD would be a nice side effect.
