Wouldn‘t thumb-pulling create malocclusion?

When you‘re only expanding your upper palate, wouldn‘t that create malocclusion and an overbite since you‘re also supposed to push forwards?

for some reason increasing the upper palate in a natural way also expands the lower part

I think it makes sense that your teeth of the lower palate adapt since your changes are only very gradual. But how the bone of the lower palate expands is a mystery to me.

Is thumb-pulling natural?

Your face growing while you get older is natural, pulling from it isn't.

When the palate expands "naturally", that's when you grow because of a natural body process, all the bones grow because of the hormones, when you thumb pull, you could just stretch your palate and the lower part won't grow because there are no forces applied on it.

Could be a risk. I‘m still doing tho, have seen numerous people claiming that their mandible just „followed“
