Wrist insertions?

So I was reading this reddit thread about how these two guys increased their wrists at the same base (16.5cm) yet one of them mogged the other out of oblivion. The comments are saying its because he has "lower insertions" but what do they mean by that? How the hell are you supposed to tell if you have high or low insertions as a DYEL?
