as humans we naturally believe everything is seperate, different parts making up a whole. i believe that perception of individuality, and sense of "self", is just an illusion made by the brain to make sense of the world around us. with the brain being the only thing able to differentiate two things, what are we without the brain? we're everything.

You mistake the conditions under which something is known for the conditions under which it exists. That the mind distinguishes things does not imply that distinction is an illusion. The faculty by which we represent two things as different is not thereby the cause of their difference. To confuse the structure of cognition with the structure of reality is to mistake the map for the territory. The negation of a distinction in consciousness is not the negation of distinction in reality.
i understand what ur saying but that doesnt really refute my main point. im not saying the brain creates physical seperation. im saying the brain creates our subjective experience of being an individual self, while reality itself may be fundamentally interconnected. there could be distinct things within this reality while still being fundamentally interconnected, so the fact that we experience ourselves as separate individuals doesnt necessarily mean that separateness is fundamental to reality. from this perspective, consciousness could be understood as the universe experiencing itself through different perspectives.
