heavily controlling parents so no independence, no proper way of earning (im coding but it's hard as shit to find a job), no way of even getting money from the clients even if i find one (parents wont let me get my own bank account (and im 17, 16 in legal documents because pakistanis love fraud), and even if i use bitcoin it'll be hard to get someone to transfer it to cash and harder yet to hide the cash even IF i can get it). if i go down the 'hey bro be patient' route, it'll take 3 years before i can move out. i cant fucking bear 3 years ive already had 2 barely survived suicide attempts

plus i cant study from all this mental anguish

i've tried therapy and im on anti-depressants (but my parents refuse to increase my lexapro dose to 10mg despite doctors telling them). doesnt fucking help man nothing fucking helps

People really underestimate the effect this has on developing kids, lowers IQ, social skills, increases risk of isolation, and builds a complacent attitude. Continue grinding and move out, although the damage has already been done.
