WTF has happened to internet search results?

10 or 20 years ago if you searched any topic and got 8,000,000 results, you could literally page through all the results. Now, no matter what the topic is, even none political topics, the search results start repeating themselves after the top 100 or 150. Here I searched "babe ruth" on Bing, and by page 12 the results get repetitive, and all the results that are shown are news media, top traffic "approved" websites, or places wanting to sell you something, fringe and personal sites have just been shadow banned from search results.
