Depends how you smash, generally lighter with fewer more reps is better in my experience. Hitting hard has no benefit when it comes to swelling its same thing you just get extra retarded. And try to symmetrically hit, meaning, same reps and how hard hit( doesn't have to be exactly the same but close)
