Wtf u need to swipe on tinder to get matches

So it’s been a while but I just did a mass swipe and got 3 matches. I thought with gold I could just see my likes and just pick but turns out I need to swipe anyway for the algo to push ur profile? Tf is the point of gold then if I need to be swiping daily anyway?
