Here's a scenario.

Let's say you have a 6 year old son who picks up a harsh allergic response to pollen, or "hay fever". What exactly would you do to prevent him from mouthbreathing?

Is there a cure for allerigies that would allow him to easily breathe through his nose without it getting stuffed?

That's the issue with the "ruined by environment" pill- most of the time the cause of mouthbreathing is unavoidable.

duct tape his mouth shut if he's suffocated to death that's a Fate Superior to SubHumanity.

Me personally, I would load him up with immuno-suppressant medications and overdose him on Zyrtec, then duct tape his mouth

Figure out what the allergy is. If it’s untreatable, send him to boarding school where it’s less of an issue.
