its not a remake.

mw2 had a remaster few years ago but they just amped up the graphics for the campaign, no multiplayer so it died out quite fast

in 2019 they did a reboot to modern warfare series (its a prequel to all the past mws, is about Cpt. Prices backstory when he wasn't balding)

this is just the sequel to the game they released in 2019
