This thread is here to document what happened using archived forum data and timelines. I'll likely be referencing this thread a lot in the future.

Members who were active around/before June 2025 will probably remember DIY filler becoming much more common over the following months. A number of those people have told me they believe my threads played a major role, but anecdotes alone aren't enough.

Instead, let's look at the data.

1. Growth of DIY Filler discussion

I collected the number of posts per month using the Advanced Search feature on this forum.

The information I entered was in the format:

Newer than: 2025-01-01
Older than: 2025-02-01

Information collected like this was labelled as "Jan-Feb 2025", but in reality it represents January only.

On top of that, the guide has been referenced hundreds of times on Discord, and tons of users have credited me as either creating the guide or introducing them to DIY filler

This TikTok received over 23,000 views and 1,100 likes while directly crediting me

Combined, these two videos have around 350,000 views and 13,000 likes.

My guides were a major early catalyst in the popularization of DIY filler on the forum, and in the community.
@Sayori, @goku21, and @Veridic are all extremely knowledgable individuals, Sayori & Goku weren't very active during 2025 though, Veridic has been an expert on DIY Filler even before I heard about it, but hasn't gone out of his way to share it with people like I have.

I have gotten messages from people on .com to gatekeep DIY Filler from retards, but who really cares.
