- growth plates arent the complete story when it comes down to it


If growth plate closure meant that growth after puberty is impossible then there would be 0 cases of longitudinal growth after puberty. You could even use me as an example however i havent gotten a x-ray yet and i am still pretty young so its debatable

It could also be potentially due to where the igf-1 is taken too. If alll the growht hormone was taken to his leg or if he got it injected in that specific area theres a possibility. Again its pretty cloudy and we arent sure but ill try to figure it out

Yeah i was looking into this earlier. A lot of people dont realize that growth plate is badically just cells/tissue at the end of bones that harden and multiply and become bone. In theory creating new bone tissue which contains osteoblasts could cause increased longitudinal growth. The process of bone thickening is really no different than bone lengthening just on different parts.

These were doc office measurements so most likely compression. I did a lot of posture improvement over those years unknowingly
