In a word, Yes.

Though I don’t think it’s usually out of malice. People are slaves to their biological evolution. We are still animals. Usually what people find attractive are genetic queues that will sire healthy, strong, attractive offspring. There is strong evidence that this is biologically imprinted as even blind people will describe what attracts them. If they feel a belly they are put off. Ugly guys are a threat to them as they feel their eggs, indeed their womb is precious to them, with something dear stolen from them if an ugly guy even dares to imagine it. It’s a reflexive action more than anything else.

I think face shouldn't be used to determine good genes because it's all about harmony,

Frame,height and dimorphic feautures are reason of good genetics
