It is the same angle. My head is turned the exact same amount from the camera, and they have just about the same angle in relation to the floor. (I would even say that the before picture is more parallel to the floor giving it an advantage)

Use coconut oil, apply a thin layer before hitting yourself and your skin won't scrap anymore, you can hit harder as well
