i don't goto gyms, but i have some machines at my house, do you row?

About 3 times a month as a small part of my cardio routine. I do 7 minutes rowing, at about 90 to 95%% resistance setting, including a 40 second sprint at the end. I think they are Life Style fitness brand machines at Planet Fitness. I would like to try a Concept 2 machine just to see how I compare to the men in my age group that do the competitive rowing competitions. One weird thing I noticed, perhaps you can enlighten me as to if it is unique to the brand of machine I use, is that my rowing sprint is only about 10% faster than my regular rowing pace, whereas my running or biking sprints are like 30% faster than my regular paces, just seems odd that my sprints are not much faster than my regular rowing pace.
