Just keep your frame and continue talking like nothing happened, there are some people who are very obnoxious and self-absorbed, who simply ignore all the avoidant behavior, they come to you and keep yapping and yapping, not noticing you barely respond and eventually they forcefully drag you into their conversation, many of these people I noticed tend to be actually quite popular - they go in a new place: at school, at work, chat left and right, never shut up, they pretty soon form a social circle where they are the leader, immediately approach new people with their babble and gossip, it gets hard for the others to reject them since they are the most popular person there, even though in private many can't stand them, and after they are gone most are relieved they aren't there anymore.
