People don't understand how easy it is to be a software engineer at a top company, doctor, surgeon..... if you have a high IQ. You wouldn't have to try at all, it would be like walking.

i read people talking about how AI kills coding, that what u mean? sure, but even they acknowledge that actual high iq coders at the top will still be around, doing even better than before.

I would argue, things are so tough that simply generally high iq is not necessarily going to hand you a great career instantly, anymore. If you're lazy, can't focus, can't work with others, or are scared to seize/pursue opportunities, you can definitely fail to get into medical school, even with top 5% intellect, for example.

Every dude who's not mentally challenged can go to those local competitions as long as he feels it's worth it. I respect people who are good at Videogames even better than those local gay competitions. Probably a higher indicator of IQ too. Following a formula over and over again is not high IQ, especially when most have a calculator on the side. Of course if you're top 5% that's something else.
