Newer research shows you can go up to and maybe beyond 52 sets for any given muscle a week and will have more growth than lower volumes. All just depends on how much time you have in your life to devote to your physique really.

If you're pushing every muscle group to 52 sets then obviously you'll be too systemically fatigued. You can however specialize whichever muscle groups are favorable to you with higher volume and cut back on others to correct the systemic fatigue issue. This doesn't change that we now know our bodies can push a muscle group up to and past 52 sets, still recover, and grow more from it
