(a random photo to get your attention)

You don't want to hear this. Because it's easier to think that circumstances are to blame: parents, looks, money, city, country, society. Anyone, damn it, except you.

But that's a lie. And you know it yourself. Because deep down you understand: if you're unhappy with your life - it's not because the world decided so. It's because you decided so. By your actions or your inaction.

Circumstances don't always determine

Yes, you may have bad starting data. Yes, someone was born into a rich family, with good looks, in a great country. Yes, that's very unfair. But circumstances are not always a sentence. They are a starting position, not the finale. I don't deny that a starting position can be so horrible that giving up is the most reasonable decision. But there are very few people here for whom things are so terrible.

You didn't choose where to be born. Didn't choose your looks. Didn't choose your IQ. You didn't choose anything, but you choose what to do with it. Every day, every minute. And if you do nothing - that's also a choice. A choice in favor of everything staying as it is.

You are not a victim

As long as you believe that life just happens to you - you've already lost. Because in that case you're not acting, you're only responding to blows.

As soon as you accept that life is what you do, not what is done to you — everything changes. Not instantly, but it changes. Because then you stop waiting for someone to come and fix it. And you start fixing it yourself.

I see these threads

I see threads with titles: "I hate myself," "life is terrible," "I don't want to live." I open them, and there it is: "I have no friends," "I'm addicted," "no girlfriend, but I really want one."

You are to blame for this yourself. Because every one of your decisions led you here. Every day and every choice.

You didn't want friends - you sat at home. You didn't want to be addicted - but you picked up what breaks and kills you. You wanted a girlfriend - but did nothing to meet one. You waited for it to come on its own, but it never does.

And now you're writing a thread. And waiting for someone to say: "yeah, bro, it's hard for you" or "no, you're not to blame." But you are to blame for choosing to change nothing, every day.

What to do

Stop looking for who's to blame.
Even if they exist. Even if it's true. Looking for who's to blame doesn't change your life. It only gives you an excuse to do nothing.

Admit what and where you fucked up. Not to finish yourself off. But to see the point from which you can move. Until you admit the problem is in you - you can't solve it.

Start small. Right now, even if it's just standing up and cleaning your room. A small action breaks this cycle.

Stop waiting. No one will ever come. You are not the main character in this life. Not a friend, not a woman, not a psychologist, not the forum. Everyone is always busy with themselves. You should be busy with yourself too. And not waiting for someone to take care of you.

What will happen if you accept this

It will become scary. Because if you're responsible for your life - then there's no one to blame. It's all on you - that's hard. But it's also liberating. Because if it's all on you - then you can change it.

And then something appears that wasn't there before - responsibility. Which works even when you don't feel like anything. Because you know: if not you — then no one.

And lastly

You can read this and forget it. You can close the thread and go back to the same. That's your choice too, but you're responsible for it too. So the question is not what I told you. The question is what you'll do with it.

You are responsible for what your life is right now. What will you do next?

this was a solid read, and ngl ur not wrong at all but even if we chose this sometimes others can influence the way we act or choose to live and some don’t even realize it because it’s subconsciously happening. you think some beta cuck in a 30yr marriage cares that his wife is betabuxxing him? no lmao he doesn’t care his life is already over he doesn’t care realize that it’s her fault his life sucks cuz he’s so used to it by now. the first step is to realize the people who are making it difficult for us to get to our goals and eliminate them from our life.

Was agreeing, but this seems like bluepilled bullshit

Great thread man!
Yes you are responsible for your life, if you make the right decisions in different scenarios it eventually leads to you being in a very similar scenario to someone with a better "spawnpoint" in that sense

insanely low iq post, the likes and people agreeing with you symbolize the overall decay of the forum but then again it's not that surprising because the average age of the users here has gone down a lot too. i probably would have thought you cooked too had i been 17 years old now lol
