Each event that happens in ones life is neither inherently good nor bad.
Whatever emotion you feel is a result of how your mind processes the event, not as a result of the event itself.
Learning to control emotions is part of what makes humans different from animals. If you poke a wild bear it will attack you. It’s just the bears nature.
But if a girl rejects you for example, you can either instinctively get angry like the bear, or choose to perceive it as a good thing. A learning experience.
There’s no reason to let yourself feel negative painful emotions when you have the choice to perceive everything in a better light.
