I believe love exists in the sense that you can feel it, and experience it, but the notion of lifelong marriage and love to someone is nonsense. The former is just a chemical reaction that will wear out, and the latter is a social construct which often results in disfunction or divorce.
Many papers have been written on how humans are not monogamous. Check google if you're interested.
There is a story about how a wolf saved a baby and they said that's love: think of the many instances where it wouldn't, think of the many instances where a baby would be an easy snack for a predator. The wolf saving the baby is very much the exception, and can not - and should not - be counted upon to be the rule. That does not evidence love so much as it evidences luck.
