This thread is about one of my good mates, who grew to 6'1 whilst having a 5'3 mother and 5'10 dad.

His dad may be average in other countries, but in my country (GERMANY) he is a bit below the average 5'11 (180 cm)
His mother is also 5 cm below average.
I think you can classify both of them as short, especially regarding how important the mothers height is for males.

his brother is about 5'10 BTW

How did he reach this height?

I think one of the main reasons is all the physical movement he had in his youth as he started growing.

  1. FOOTBALL Since he was about six, he played a lot of football and was one of the best players on the team.
  2. VOLLEYBALL At school, he was always great at volleyball, the best in class.
  3. SWIMMING Although he quit club football around age 14, he began swimming competitively and has become an excellent swimmer, winning many medals in competitions. He could easily work as a lifeguard right now.
  4. RUNNING On top of that, he also takes part in many marathons.
This guy is just incredibly athletic—he could probably do really well at any sport he tried.
Has always had crazy agility and physical condition too.
As you can see half of this guys life is some type of sport.

BEFORE YOU COME AT ME WITH "MUH TOOK HGH"
NO HE DID NOT TAKE GH!!!
THERE IS LIKE NO CHANCE, IF THAT CHANCE EXISTS IT'S LIKE 0.01%
HE HAS REALLY ORDINARY PARENTS, NEITHER DOES HE COME FROM LIKE CRAZY WEALTH

I think another reason he reached 6'1" despite having short parents were his sleep habits and not being a dopamine junkie like many kids today.
He never played lots of video games or cared much about social media, I hardly ever saw him on TikTok or anywhere else.

I remember that this guy always used to sleep 8+ hours at summer camp and never felt really tired when he woke up.

This allowed him to get much better deep sleep and maintain healthier dopamine levels, which likely had a positive effect on his growth.

What could've played a role:
-no blue light exposure before sleep
-standard dopamine levels
-stable circadian rhythm

8-10 hours sleep are really key! NO joke

Whilst this thread can be COPE for most readers. It shows how physical activity and regeneration relates positively on growth.

The brutal truth is that height is genetic but also comes with a lot of luck there are people that have a tall father, but never even reached their dad's height remotely.

In most cases though if the mother and father are tall the children will also be tall
as an example take JOE FAZER (6'4) this is him next to his mother:

ofcourse he'll be 6'4 with a tall mother

After reading this thread things worth noting are:
  1. Your height potential can be up to 8 cm greater than your dad’s height
  2. A lot of physical activity has positive effects on final height.
  3. Reduced screen time and 8-10 h of sleep are key

For all the people still growing take this example as motivation to work out and get fair amount of sleep, besides that take HGH if you want to be sure you'll get the max out of your genetic potential.

It’s mainly genetics along with optimising your environment

My parents are +/- the same height and I’m 6’0 at 16. Also stuff like this requires long and patient time for results. Someone with short parents isn’t gonna get anywhere with 1 years time of height growth, especially with poor habits

if you would have actually read it till the end, you'd know that I said that it is mostly COPE. My height isn't regarded as a falio by me anyways because I'm slightly above average, all I wanted to do is show how physical activity and optimizing your environment could be positve for your height outcome

height is luck bro but this thread just shows how important being healthy is for your heights sake
BTW sports like volleyball could potentially boost your height, but it was never proven as like an official effect
