This is mostly true, no matter how bad a Man's life is he'll never be depressed if he were to look like Hexum. Even the most "depressed" and self hating Chad would never switch his life with happy, rich and "fullfilled' sub 5. I don't think anyone below Htn, Htb and even Cl or Sl can truly be happy. And if they appear happy on the outside when they're hanging out with a lot of people it's to distract themselves from their self hatred or sadness about their looks. I've seen this happen numerous times and they always open up to me about their sadness. It makes sense, everyone's biological instinct is to be desirable to the opposite sex and to reproduce with an attractive mate of the opposite sex.

But on the other hand, Hexum was most likely depressed. He was a closeted homosexual who hated himself for it and was extremely unstable. He opened up about how lonely he felt and most likely had a bad relationship with both his Parents. Occasionally yes there are some other factors but most of these factors wouldn't exist if they were to be truly attractive, if they looked like what they wanted to look like then most of these problems wouldn't get to them as much as they do. I'm not saying a death of a family member wouldn't affect them but it certainly wouldn't affect them to the same extent.

But no matter how much money they had or how old they were they were still sad and concerned about their looks. A 75-76 year old Woman opened up to me on her birthday where there were dozens of people about how she was depressed about her nose. She has half a foot in the grave, dozens of people including her own family hosting a birthday party for her and she's focused on her nose.

And how are looks vain? Your looks are your soul in both a literal and figurative sense, the first thing people notice and what makes the majority of people insecure. The fact that the blackpill/looksmaxxing has went mainstream is enough proof that not only do people experience a great loss of sadness about their physical appearance but also that they care about the looks of others. If it's important enough to make someone depressed then how can it be vain? You wouldn't judge people instinctively about their looks if it was vain.

But let's agree that looks are vain for the sake of your argument, most people are vain and most vain people are low IQ. People with lower IQs are more animalistic, act more on their instincts and care more about satisfying their biological desires which involve being attractive and attracting an attractive mate which is proof that they can be sad/depressed about their looks.
