Belief means to take something as true or honest, often without evidence or inquiry. It is a personal conviction independent of any research

Science is the study and research of observable phenomena and the world around us. It is based on empirical data and a rigorous methodology

You can personally believe that the moon is made of cheese or that fairies exist

But you cannot “believe” the earth is a sphere. Just like you cannot “believe” gravity exists. You either accept reality as it is, or you can deny it and bring your own evidence

Well accepted science is theory backed by matching empirical results. Gravity as Newton understood it isn't the same as how its understood in general relativity for example. So I suppose you can't disagree with controlled empirical results, but you can with a theory. But then again, how do we know our human conscious experiences are accurate to anything at all?
