unless you are extremely high percentile in one category, and around average in others
or high percentile across many categories
having a vice makes it harder to achieve your goals (on average, proportional to how far away you are from 100th percentile)
if you are 6'4 and 6+ psl you can do many many things wrong, be a drug addict, an adulterer, a thief and still come out better than someone 50th percentile in those metrics with no vices
but this is a shallow example, only factoring height and looks and not iq or others
however if you are already extremely low percentile in many metrics (face and height?), there is almost no point in trying
it's fine to have many vices such as drugs if you are low percentile in one or more metrics
