this is a good point, imo brothers from the same mom and dad are the best proximity for how you look. Followed by dad and uncles (paternal and maternal).
Even then it's not 100% but its an approximiation.

I dont think the bone changed its just that he lost body fat and/or the natural fat in his face that he lost with aging and so it showed his bone structure a little more. Although I know the jaw can still grow past 20 for some men
