Lazy fatasses say this who are too big of pussies to do cardio. Seriously I don't understand how this is such a popular sentiment. If you do 2 hours of exercise a day at a fucking super low intensity you're burning atleast an extra 1000 calories a day, shit you can walk for 2 hours and burn that. That's an extremely significant amount, if you have a shitty diet and start walking for 2 hours a day chances are you can keep your same exact diet and you will be in a deficit. And if you are doing high intensity exercises or walking at an 8% incline you're going to burn upwards of 2000 calories from a 2 hour workout. I'm sorry but unless you are eating pure fast food you are not going to eat 4000 calories a day casually. Especially if you have a lean diet, you're going to eat 40 cups of Greek yogurt a day? I fucking doubt it. Instead of stressing over calorie counting and starving it's so fucking easy to just sneak in an hr or two of cardio a day. I don't know where this bullshit sentiment came from, probably fatasses with a high heart rate

True. I drop weight so easily when I'm not on my Jooish Antidepressants, despite eating McDonald's basically everyday :feelshaha:. Even without exercise, I just casually pace around the living room or the park for hours. I burn calories without even trying/noticing

I think that advice is more applicable for foids, since they have a much lower daily calorie limit than we generally do

it'll take a couple weeks minimum to really notice any weight loss from just walking though, don't get discouraged if the scale isn't moving fast at first

Lifting weights isnโ€™t torture like cardio is. I have absolutely no problem with weight training and can do 7 pull ups in a row at my current weight of 170 pounds. Cardio has absolutely no practical benefits so I refuse to torture myself that way for no visible gains

Another thing lots donโ€™t realize is running will destroy your joints overtime. Lifting weights wonโ€™t if you donโ€™t overtrain or ego lift. Almost any runner I knew had consistent knee pain and many older ones needed knee replacements. Iโ€™d rather have my natural joints last longer than I last. I get all the cardio I need from physical tasks like land maintenance work and other physical tasks along with walking

It won't destroy your joints unless you have bad form, and if you really are worried about that you can do elyptical or bike lmfao. Not to mention I never even said running, I said fucking walking. Yes that's because it's a low intensity exercise and you have extremely bad conditioning and probably a really high resting heart rate. You're also not lifting until failure. If you are actually causing hypertrophy the DOMs are way worse torture than doing cardio.

Yes that's because it's a low intensity exercise and you have extremely bad conditioning and probably a really high resting heart rate. You're also not lifting until failure. If you are actually causing hypertrophy the DOMs are way worse torture than doing cardio.
I absolutely am lifting to failure. Lifting to failure isnโ€™t anywhere close to as grueling as running lmao. I was 135 pounds when I started gym 3+ years ago and am 165-170 now and look a lot better at least in terms of body

The key to cardio is finding things that don't feel like an exercise or a chore, like biking, training BJJ/MMA, walking while watching a show at an incline, whatever it is that gets your heart rate up that doesn't feel like a chore. I personally enjoy running. That being said if it feels like torture it's because you have bad conditioning. A normal functioning human gets an adrenaline rush from an intense cardio exercise. And yes there are absolutely plenty of benefits, I could link you a million studies but you should just ask your doctor. There are countless benefits to intense cardio (160+ bpm heart rate). What's actually bad for you is being sedentary and having a high heart rate. Just do your damn cardio

I have been there I used to hate doing the mile in school and running for a few seconds used to be awful but it really doesn't take much conditioning to get past that. That's called being out of shape.

Biking and walking are fine to me and I like them, but I donโ€™t really think of it as exercise since itโ€™s something I actually do for fun. I only consider things exercise if youโ€™re pushing yourself on purpose and doing it for the sole purpose of increasing fitness. I ainโ€™t sedentary just have zero interest in doing any extreme cardio. I have a super fast metabolism and gaining weight takes a lot of effort, so excessive cardio will make me lose weight and lose muscle gains. Currently eating 3,500 calories a day. Took me 3+ years of consistent eating to bulk from 135 to 165-170 which is the range my weight stays at now
 
Run 7 k everyday and you get away with being able to eat a lot of food

Buddy Iโ€™m in my early 20s, not a teen. I used to do more cardio as a teen and I was a skinny twig with no decent muscle mass because all I did was cardio and no weight training

Yes obviously if you're lean trying to bulk you don't want to spam cardio. That being said you trying to claim that it has "no benefit whatsoever" is blatantly wrong. Getting your heart rate up pretty much affects every single health marker

This stuff is plenty to be fit enough for good health

Doing 15-30 minutes of cardio a few times a week will significantly impact your health and longevity but yet you don't need to do 2 hours since you aren't trying to lose weight

I easily get 16-30 minutes of cardio a week just from the physical tasks I do plus my hobbies. Just not interested in more than that
